NOTICE March 2010: Harris AntiVirus Preferred Vendor Alignment

In a continued effort to be a leader in the world of Information Technology, Harris Computer Services would like to announce our preferred Anti Virus solution.

Harris Computer Services will be using Sunbelt’s Vipre as its primary Anti-Virus solution of choice. The strengths of Vipre are the combined antivirus and antispyware technology which is provided in a very fast and lightweight application that also includes a worthy set of security tools. Sunbelt’s Vipre was chosen by HCS as our Anti-Virus solution for three main reasons – effectiveness, reliability and cost. We have made the transition internally to Vipre, and have already begun transitioning many of our Managed Services clients with great success.

This notice is a recommendation from the HCS Technical Staff and is purely for informational purposes; however we highly recommend that you review your Anti-Virus solution and speak with us should you have any concerns.
